This is an extremely nice, substantial timepiece from Fendi that has a cool, manly, modernist vibe to it. The case has clean, machine-like lines and a sort of industrial aesthetic that contrasts nicely with the black leather alligator-esque strap that makes it appropriate for formal wear. It displays the 2, 4, 8, 10 and 12, with a small 60-second-hand-sweep dial located at the 6 o’clock position. The date is displayed in two small windows directly beneath the 12, with each digit getting its own window – not the most elegant date display, but unique nonetheless. Since this is a non-perpetual calendar, you have to set it manually at the beginning of each month or else it will keep counting in sequence all the way up to the “39th” of the month. This can be a bit of a hassle, but is the only substantial drawback to the watch (for anyone who is bothered by such things). Otherwise it’s a definite winner.
